Club rooms - urgent notice, 22 August 2012. Wellington Chess Club has been informed that we will no longer be able to use Turnbull House, because of earthquake strengthening work that needs to be done there. Very short notice, last night (21 August) was our last night in the old rooms. We will be at St Peters church hall, Willis Street on Tuesday 28 August, thanks to John Gillespie for organising this. A permenant home is still being looked into. If you know of a suitable venue please let the commitee know. The club championship will continue with as little disruption as we can manage.
Apologies for the slow trickle of new information on these pages. The webmaster does his best after work. This web site will be tidied up once we know were we are playing.
